Default Question's oh questions

I own a 1999 Jimmy and I wondering if anyone knew who sold front air dams/whole body kits for this peice. Also did anyone feel the $70 cold air intakes off ebay areworth it? How about the $35 dollar chips? One more thing, I just bought some 18" rims and I wanted to know if I could lower it 3" 'sand if anyone could recommend anylowpriced kits.

First thing I would stay away from the $35.00 chip. As for the ebay intake I know a few people that have gone that route and never had a problem. And if you dont like the filter you can always upgrade to a K & N filter. If you are looking for performance like a chip or something go with a Hypertech Controller or Jet performance products. Belltech makes a 3/3 lowering kit for your truck for $169.95. I got the price for Stylin Concepts.

Far out brother. Is that kit all I would need? I thought new springs and shocks were mandatory. Thanks a lot man. I've been looking for full exhaust systems, the only one I could find was on stylinconcepts.com but it was only a single and it was aluminum. Anyone know of anyother spots to look.

First off, is your Jimmy a 2wd or 4wd vehicle? It makes a BIG difference.
I have an eBay cai. Chrome pipes and blue silicone connecting pieces and a generic filter with a chrome case around it. It was about $45 and I like it a lot. You could get the K&N FIPK (or whatever) cai but it is way over priced since it's name brand....
I would go with the Belltech lowering kit but it depends which one you need to get depending on the 2wd/4wd. As far as body kits, I'd go with the Xenon body kit. Here's a decent one for under $700 shipped.
Definitely don't get the "magic chips" off eBay that cost $6-$35. They are a waste of money, literally. Go with the hypertech or jet performance modules. Yes, they're expensive but definitely worth it.

Also, I can assume the Jimmy is a 4 door truck, right? You should probably put all this information in as your signature. It does help.

Yes it is a 4 door with 4wd. Thats a nice body kit and well within my price range but i'm not sure it will work for a jimmy. Still wondering about the shocks and springs. Thanks for the input man.

I *think* the body kit will work with the Jimmy since it's the same body style as a Blazer. The 4dr 4wd makes a difference. For my 4dr 4wd 2000 Blazer, I am going to get 3" blocks for the rear, and torsion keys for the front, which will lower the Blazer 3/3. I *assume* the 4wd Jimmy uses blocks in the rear and torsion keys in the front, not springs. You will have to wait for imput from other members to prove this. Also, you will need to upgrade all the shocks. You can use Toxic, Nitro, or any other shocks. You need to make sure they are designed for a lowered ride, not a stock ride. Hope that helps.

For the ebay kits, get the AEM knockoff. It's worth the extra $$ ($80 vs $45).

Thanks man outside of the range of car audio I'm rather uninformed. I found some torsion keys that would work I think... But I can't find any blocks anywhere, the ones I do find are for the s15 jimmy, which I don't have or the 2wd which I don't have Stylin concepts only has this1"-3" / 1" Lowering Kitwhich seems to be 1-3" drop in the front 1" drop in the rear, which to me sounds dumb so maybe thats not what it means. Any help would be great man.

I found this lowering kit for you. It seems to be just as good as Belltech. It includes the keys and blocks, and in the auction description, it says for an extra 110, you can get 4 gas shocks. So for 130 (kit) + 110 (shocks) + 33 (shipping) = $273, yo can get a decent set up that'll fit your jimmy. I would email the seller to be POSITIVE it will fit, but I am sure it will.
