Improve differentials

if you do change your gear ratio in the rear, you will have to do the same to your front end. open diffs are a bitch.

Found out on Randy's Ring and Pinon web site that the 3.08 is on the carrier break side to go higher up to 4.10, am I under standing that correctly for an 8.5 inch?

There is a different series carrier for the higher gear ratios (lower number). I believe the cut off was 3.42 for the proper carrier series to go to and past 4.10.

If I go about improving the differentials is the seal kits necessary as in am I removing any existing seals to install the upgraded ring and pinions. Swartlkk- Sounds like it would be best just to up grade the carriers anyway.
