Few questions
Good day all,
1998 Blazer LT 4wd 4dr
This is the first SUV i've owned, previous cars were are Supra, Altima, Integra, 300zx so all foreign and sports cars...
First is the steering loose on all blazers or just mine?
How can i tighten it up some? I have about 12 O'clock position to 1 O'clock postion of play in the steering wheel.
Second, My 275 75 17's rub on turns and i'll be changing the fronts to 265 65 17's this week. Hopefully that will stop the rubbing when i'm turning.
I have a Vibration sounds like it is coming from passenger front wheel. It speeds up with higher speeds. Could this be from the tire rubbing on the inner well or the hub problem?
Thanks in Advance for your help. Really just getting into the blazers and appreciate all the info on this site.
Brian

Steering is relatively loose on these vehicles. I'd attribute part of it to older and maybe worn out parts, but for the most part it's supposed to be that way. Maybe take a look at your tie rods to see if they're worn.
The rubbing can be fixed by hacking out the rub spots, rolling your fenders, lifting or just getting smaller tires. You can also adjust your turn bumps so that you can't turn your wheel to where it rubs.
I'd say you're vibration is a bad tire balance. Maybe alighnment but more likely the balance. When you get your new tires mounted and balanced I'd bet it goes away.
I'm coming from a Mazda MX-6 LS so I feel ya on the driveability downgrade but this thing fits my lifestyle much better then my 6 so I'm not complaining...it's actually still sitting in my driveway waiting for me to finish the KLZE swap.
