Default flat leaf springs

I have a 2000 Bravada, and when I got it, I noticed the rear end sitting lower than the front, the leaf springs apear to be nearly flat, there is a shackle on the rear of the spring, I do not know if it is factory, or something that has been added on, and am not sure if it is on properly, it just doesnt look right. I will try to add a picture in a bit, any thoughts, or pics of what it should look like would be appreciated.

ok, well, I figured out on my own that this is more common than I realized, and the leaf springs can be replaced for 165 each @ truckspring.com, now I just have to get that fixed, and start figuring out what I want to do lift wise

The shackle is factory and is indeed installed correctly. It is pretty common for then to flatten out as you have now discovered. Mine were as flat if not flatter than yours before I took them off for the SAS.
