It's in the circle, the part with the dot. There's a link inside that's bad. The u joints weren't the problem either. I could reach the joints just fine I could even remove them, but the link inside is what's bad. I don't know what it's called. There's a grease fitting that feeds grease to it.

Found a better pic. This is the yoke that attaches to the transfer case. There's a part that is between the two u joints that appears to be the problem. The part connects to the opening at the top of this yoke. It didn't seem user serviceable, certainly not me in the driveway serviceable. I've got a line on a used shaft that'll work, and be less painful to replace

Does anyone know if the front driveshaft from a 97 Chevy Astro would work in my Bravada?
i checked part numbers and the important bits match. Both the rear cardan joint and the front CV joint are the same part numbers. I just need to know if the shaft will fit.
I know how they measure them. With the Bravada, they measure from the center of one u joint to the center of the furthest u joint, on the reman models. With the Astro, they measure from flange to flange. The Bravada shaft measurement is 24 5/16", the Astro is 30 ¼". Both of those are compressed length. I'm going to measure mine too see if it's a possibility.
Going by the difference in measurement method, yes. The Bravada shaft reman model is measured from center of u joint to center of furthest u joint. Looking at flange to flange, there's a difference of about 2½" to 3" between center of u joint to flange on both ends. That should add up to about 5-6", which brings it up to roughly the same thing. I'm going to measure mine when I get back to my vehicle to see if it might work.
