Hard acceleration,it grunts like something is slipping. Thanks.

I have a 98 Chevy S 10 blazer. Something is slipping when I'm at a dead stop and need to accelerate fast. As soon as I let up off the acceleration truck drives absolutely fine and no more slipping. Has anyone else ever experienced something like this?

Standard transmission clutch maybe slipping and needs replaced - Automatic transmission the clutch packs maybe slipping and transmission maybe on it's way out...
