Default tire wearing on the outside

My front drivers side tire is tilting out and wearing on the outside only. Last time I drove the car I heard a loud clunk when I put the truck in reverse. On the drive home the car seemed sluggish on turns. Does anyone know what the problem is?

Default RE: tire wearing on the outside

Check your ball joints on the driver's side. Sounds like a ball joint has loosened up and is allowing the top of the tire to go out (upper ball joint) or bottom of the tire to come in (lower ball joint).
