Body or Suspension?

RE: Body or Suspension?
In all the threads I mentioned the CV going out, I was sure to mention that I have 100k on the CVs before cranking. I have had no problems since! I would say go ahead and do it. Going up ~2' is just what a blazer needs IMO. Makes it the right height for an SUV

RE: Body or Suspension?
An update for those maybe wondering, I'm planning on going with the BDS 5 inch lift. I'm in college right now, but funds are running short. I've got a tough major that requires a lot of attention to school and not working. So I'm taking a year off to work at aplace that starts at $60,000 a year, working 84 hour weeks though. So after a year, I should have enough money to pay for my expenses until I graduate. Also gives me plenty of money to customize my blazer. I'm going to get my uncle, who is a mechanic, to help me install the BDS lift. Torsion bar cranking just doesn't appeal to me for some reason. Anybody have any experience with the BDS lift?

this guy has the 5in bds on his blazer
i know its a little late but i thought i would give you some info anyway
wish i had the mulahh to get one, instead im getting the 2 in bds bl
oh and 31 inch tires will give you approx. 1in of frame lift
stock tires are around 28 inches
if you get 30's they will give you 1 inches of frame lift
the diameter is around 2 inches larger, so the radius would be half that
giving you a total of 1 inch frame, 3 inches total (if installing 2 inch bl)
plus if you crank the t bars 1 inch and put 1 inch shackles on, then your up to 4 inches total lift
30' tires(1in)+2" BL(2in)+tbars and shackles(1in)=4 total inces from stock height
2 inches frame, 2 inches body
hope i helped
