4x4 with 2wd wheels and 265/70/16 tires

It's a proven design and you're just being you're usual pita thinking you know everything about suspension design when you obviously don't. Go look at some offroad buggies on pirate4x4, see what they're doing and see why they work before you spout more bs. 4 links for off-road are a completely different animal than a 4 link for drag racing. Or are you getting all hung up on the fact I'm not calling it a triangulated 4 link?

actually just took a measurement (convenient working in a junk yard ) looks like 1 3/8" is as short as you can go and still clear the studs, so I may go with that in the front, and 2 3/8" or 2 1/2" for the rear (assuming the front fits with 1 3/8" spacers). I just hope it doesn't push out too far and the tire starts hitting the front valance or bottom rear of the fender. The valance I can trim so that wouldn't be a big deal, but the bottom corner of the fender, I really don't want to pound in with a hammer or cut it up...

Good to know, I never gave any thought to stud clearance when choosing spacers. I plan to space the rears out to match the wider front.
