I was typing my response when you posted yours so I had no clue your budget was so tight. I just figured since you had 25 bucks ready for my stereo I was selling that you could have taken that cash for a tire instead.

Yea man im sure if money is tight you have a friend or 2 that can lend the money. bald tires are dangerous anyways. Do you ever take your son in the blazer? I wouldnt want a bald tire in a car that my kids were in.

no... son goes in the girlfriends car... only i ride in the jimmy untill i can make sure i have anything and everything i need for it replaced... the front suspension needs some work 2.. like upper ball joint on drivers side, as well as the bushings in the upper control arm.... i bought the car for less then a grand... the interior is trashed (not the worst in the world but ud never expect the interior being so bad by lookin at the outside)....

when winter rolls around she'll drive the jimmy.. cuz shes not comfortable driving in the snow..and when she lived with her parents her dad would have her drive his jeep in the winter.. so she felt much more comfortable... i grew up in north west indiana.. right on lake michigan... driving a mustang.... so driving in the snow doesnt bug me 1 bit...

And just FYI ill NEVER own a ford again... like said before.. i owned a mustang... owned it for 6 years...my first car (which i bought with my own money) which i actually just sold a couple months ago.. i loved it when i was younger... it turned ALOT of heads.. BUT.. looks mean nothing when you have put pour thousands of dollars into it to keep it goin...lol... it never once broke down on me... but it always had something wrong with it.... heck i bought the jimmy just a few weeks ago for 3 grand less then waht i paid for my mustang... and it has LESS wrong with it then the mustang usually had wrong with it... and the mustang was a 97..... and then the explorer.. which is just a totally display of Ford enginuity... which IMO is sad...lol

Not to mention those 4.3's seem to be like a tank... ive already had 4 mechanics wnat to but the truck off me jsut for the engine... which has 169k on it.. but it runs like it just came off the assembly line....

yeha.. i did... i was gonna buy ur stereo (untill we foundout it wouldnt fit) and put on a new tire... BUT.. the radiator blew.. so i had to take my spare money and throw it into a radiator...

once again.. i havent owned the jimmy for very long at all... ive ALWAYS loved blazers so i was just instantly sucked into the jimmy when i needed a car... it was several hundred less then anything else i was looking at... which thanks to the cash for clunkers its now impossible in northern indiana to find a car for less then 3 grand that doesnt have something major wrong with it...

atleast with the jimmy the stuff thats wrong with it isnt expensive things..

yes the 4.3 vortec is like a tank, unless you are a idiot who doesn't care about what you do to your car, you can easily get 300k+ out of that 4.3. just keep feeding it oil every 3-5k miles and it will keep going. and yeah ford... sad excuse of a car manufacture (sorry ford fans) but on every single ford that's out there the problem is already circled and highlighted in blue lol.

My old blazer had over 600k miles on it. Burned and leaked 3 quarts of oil a week, but it kept on ticking.

SOME fords get lucky. My mother had a ford escort with 360k on the clock. Burned little oil. Someone hit her and totaled it. Insurance gave her 900.00 for it lol. She bought a duel exhaust and Nice tires for her dodge hemi truck. God i love my mom she knows how to spend her money well lol.
