Default cragar backspacing

Will the 8 in cragar backspacing push my tires out more than stock 2wd rims? I know they will be sticking out with the 31s more than stock

stock 2wd backspacing is 4.5"?

So comparing backspacing 4.5" --> 4" means the wheel will stick out .5" further due to backspacing

The wheel is also 1" wider so you have to add that in as well to make it 1.5" further out than stock wheels.

Or maybe this way might be clearer
7" wheel - 4.5" BS => outside of wheel is 2.5" from mounting surface
8" wheel - 4" BS => outside of wheel is 4" from mounting surface

4-2.5 = 1.5" further out

no.

you're going further away from the caliper and keeping the same diameter, there's no reason they would rub the caliper.
