Default DuraTrack's or Grabber AT2's?

so i got my 2 inch BL now which will be going in when i get a free weekend (not anytime soon lol) so now i am looking at some new 31" tires. at first i was dead set on the General Grabber AT2's but then i discovered the Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac's.

I really like the look of the DuraTrac's and for what they are they really arent that expensive. so my question is.. will the DuraTrac's's more aggressive tread drop my gas mileage lots more than the Grabber AT2's? the DuraTrac's are a tad bit smaller than the Grabber's so they might even fit better, and also maybe weigh less?

Never had a M/T tire so opinions on what the DuraTrac's will change would be great! i know a couple people on here have had them before so thanks in advance!

I have the AT2's and I don't have any complaints. Road noise is practically nothing and so far they're great in the little snow we've had. Can't tell you about wear though, I've only had them for ~6k miles. 235/75/15

yeah i really like the Grabber AT2's but i also really like the DuraTrac's now. lol and i just found out my friends has the DuraTrac's on his first gen blazer. He's done lots of snow wheeling and mudding with them and has never had any problems. i just never knew he had DuraTrac's. they look really nice on his blazer i think. If anyone is wondering he has, its just a T-bar crank and a add a leaf i think.

(Right after he had them put on i think)

I had 80,000 miles on my Duratraks when my truck was totaled. That, and they stop in the rain. It's the only extreme winter rated true offroad tire.

They are also fairly quiet for this aggressive of a tire.

Thanks for sharing. I am in the middle of getting new tires myself and I narrowed it down to two tires; BFG AT's or the Good Year Wrangler Dura Tracs and I decided to go with the Good Years. I love the looks of them too. Very aggressive looking. Just a question; those rims on your friend's blazer, those are just stock rims painted? I want to change my rims but am finding it very difficult, basically impossible to find ones with a 6"BS. I am thinking of going to use Pro Comps but they only have a 4.5" BS. They may stick out a bit and concerned about rubbing, especially the way the tread is on the outer walls on the tires.

Wow 80,000 miles? thats incredible.

And yes he just painted those black. but depending on what you want you can find rims that are 5.5 BS (like mine) and that extra half an inch wont make a whole lot of a difference.

oh and by the way.. those with 31" tires, how did it effect your gas mileage? since i have the 3.73 rear end and i drive on the freeway a lot im hoping it will kinda even out. after i get my speedo adjusted, or just keep doing the math.
