The green tire ones are very similiar - could just be production issues but they're always sold out or on a waiting list.
If I could get a set in a say 16" rim (they don't have 32 x anything in a 15" rim) of similiar tire size to a 32 x 11.50 or 32 x 10.50 etc, I'd look into them as a AT for summer/highway.

@ Strug: they are re-treads... not street legal for your steering tires
if you had a trailer rig and needed cheap agressive 38's that's where i'd go

Yeah... I haven't seen a law about that in Ohio yet. I'm still researching...

Why, I didn't see anyone say a negative thing about them in that thread?

thats why i put it there fool.
i posted them up originally

i put that up incase you were serious as it deals with Ohio, and has a few pages of user reviews....

not trying to poke holes in my own suggestion

from what I've seen, the only thing federal on recap-retreads is that they can not be on busses

there is probably more, but i had to go to work

Good news, I finally got tires! I ended up buying a set of Kumho Road Venture AT KL78 tires because I heard a lot of good reviews about them and the price was great. And even better, Tire Rack has one of its distribution centers about 30 mins from me (Windsor, CT) so I just picked them up myself and saved on shipping.

The cost breakdown (including tax):

4 tires: $356.16
Mounting/balacing at a Ford dealership: $62.54
Alignment (which I'll do very soon): $62.54
______
Total: about $481.24

Pretty solid deal if you ask me. So far, I've put about 30 miles on the new set and I'm loving them. They have great manners on the highway, noise level is great even at 70 mph, they only seem SLIGHTLY (if at all) louder than my old bald Michelin all-seasons. Overall, the truck feels more confident on the pavement and a couple of panic stops threw me through the windshield; with much less ABS intervention than the old ones. An alignment should improve the truck's handling even more. That'll come soon.

Can't say anything about off-roading yet; I'll probably have a chance later this week. And we're supposed to get snow Friday and Saturday so I'll let you know how they handle that.

The old... yeah I've been really pushing my luck with them.

New ones, I just need to wash the truck and tires.

And I thought I'd throw in a couple pictures of the TireRack warehouse if anybody is interested; I just thought it was so cool to be inside such a HUGE building lol.
Only pic of the inside of the warehouse I was able to take. This picture just doesn't do it justice.

And the outside:

And I changed the title of this thread to make the search easier.

Looks like you made a nice choice in tires and did some lengthy research. I currently have the tires you originally posted about, Goodyear Wrangler RT/S. I have had my blazer for roughly two weeks now and these tires came with it. I can not complain with the ride quality or how they have faired in the liitle amount of snow we had (before it rained last week). I currently am in the process of trying to decide on some new tires however. These have tread left on them but someone liked to hit curbs with the front tires so they are all scuffed up, and chunks of the sidewall are missing exposing the white underneath.

I have 2" shackles waiting to be installed and am going to crank the T-bars up a little so I am going to try and fit the 31" Goodyear Wrangler Authoritys from Wally World. Seen some hit or miss reviews on them online but Blazinator on here has them and likes them.
