I went mudding yesterday. I have a 3" lift in the rear and I t-bar cranked the front. The front only sits 1" lower then the back. Well I have 250/75/15 good year wrangler radial on my 96 blazer right now. I got stuck yesterday in a rut. I was wondering if putting 31" tires or getting real 250/75/15 mud tires will help me not get stuck. I know I can't lift it any higher unless I do a solid axle swap witch is not in my budget right now.

 

31s would be great if u have the room, sounds like u should but some trimming may be needed. but 31s arent gonna help u not get stuck, its where u go and how u drive that helps u stay unstuck. 31s will just help a lil. and if u cant fit 31s than 'true' mud tires would help u, there again it depends where u go and how u drive.

 

It's swampy and its clay so it's like quick sand lol.

 

then even with 44s on there being turned by a 500hp big block ul get stuck in the rite or wrong conditions. lol.

 

True I might just go with 30" mud tires even though I have a 3" shackle and t-bar cranked I don't feel like trimming if I rub.

I just put these on a couple weeks ago and they are pretty good in the deep snow
they are 30X9.5X15
Stock height and the snow has been deep enough to drag the dif

 

why would you have to do a solid axle swap to lift it any higher? makes no since, since theres plenty of people on here with 5-9" of lift without a solid axle

 

The main reason for solid axles is strength, not height. 33" or bigger tires don't mix well with the IFS parts, especially if you want to take it off-road.
