Default 95 blazer door jam stricker damaged. Body shop repair?

Ok so when I bought this blazer I never noticed this at the time because well it was snowing and didnt noticed but the previous said the door needed new pins and bushings and noticed that the bushings are gone and the pins have worn out the body hinge so bad that there is only a thin piece of metal left on the holes but then I noticed this door Stricker being messed up and someone welded the stricker to the body I guess from the door saging down and the door being out of alignment and the door hitting the stricker when slamming the door shut ripped the stricker body sheet metal is what it looks like can a body shop fix this sticker to match the passenger side stricker back to factory or is it ruined.

Any decent welder should be able to repair that. It doesn't necessarily have to be a body shop, unless you need it to look factory original when the door is open.

Yes a bodyshop can fix that. I used to fix those all the time as warranty back in the day when I worked at GM.

Ok I'll try to find someone local that's decent at welding to straighten the metal gap back and reweld it looked like some one used a bad stick welder on it

What causes the actual sheet metal to crack like that just the force of slamming the door shut on a sagging door?

It's metal fatigue. It's caused by the metal flexing back and forth, probably because the hinges aren't holding the door solidly. I would grind off the existing welds, weld up the cracks, then weld a piece of sheetmetal over the whole area for reinforcement.
