Default Car finally running, thank you to all that replied

I know it has been a while since I last posted, I've been pretty busy. First I would like to thank midnightride_69, Peru Motors, and skyblazer for replying to my last post on my fuel problem, and say sorry for not replying. Anyways, here is the link to my last threa here. <a href=“http://https://blazerforum.com/m_176...read</a> . OK, so after I replaced the fuel filter at work, I had the Blazer towed home. I could turn the key to the on position and could hear the fuel pump "whizzing", but the engine not starting. I talked to a couple of mechanics and they recommended replacing the fuel pressure regulator. I did that (not fun) and it ran for two days, I tried to start it up to go to work and same problem, could hear the pump, but nothing. I did what I should have done in the first place, disconnected the fuel line going into the filter to see if fuel was flowing, no fuel flow. I had a friend this time help my remove the fuel pump (10 times easier with assistance) and take it back to where I bought it, they would not refund me my money, only exchange it or get a credit. Let me remind you, this is an Airtex fuel pump by which these people that sold it to me sworn by. So me and my buddy go back to my place and put the new one in, voila, it's been running perfect for a week now. Do you think it was the fuel pump all along? Oh, btw, I cleaned and changed the gasket on my egr valve too, great step by step thread on how to do that. If I get anything from this experience, it is....spend a little more money on AC Delco or Delphi for the pump, not Airtex.

so did you end up with an Airtex or ADC or the like? I installed an aftermarket once and had to pull it out also within a year-lesson learned. I'm glad your situation seems to be in the rearview mirror! JP[sm=laughat.gif]

I had to put in another Airtex, the place where I bought the first one wouldn't give me a refund, just exchange, so I had no choice. I wish I had spent the extra $$ for ACD in the first place.
