Default Door pops when opening

Greeting all !! nubie here. i did a search and didnt see anything really covering the issue im having. the door check on my '02 pops real loud everytime i open it. there is an arm with a spring pushing on it near the hinge. it appears that the roller the arm rolls across is worn out. any ideas how to replace? i dont see any snap rings or anything, i dont see how the pin would ever come out.
thanks much

My door does the same thing, the mechanic at my inspectionsaid the door was twisted though and that was why it poped at that point. Not sure how to fix it either I greased mine up good and it helped some.

If the roller is worn out, there aren't too many options for repairing it. There are some repair kits available that will cut off the old top portion of the pin the roller rides on, but they then require you to drill and tap a hole in the top of the pin. This is near impossible to accomplish with the door on the vehicle. And I am not too confident in this type of repair being all that permanent. That spring puts a lot of force onto the pin.
