Thank You . Yes I did and yes I do. ...LOL And it took me (what I thought was going to be the easy part) from 8pm last night until that last post to replace the pump. OMG... never again will I attempt doing this on a 99 blazer 4x4 (pump) In all reality I should have had to tear out the entire steering system … axels / hubs ball joints and tie rod assemblies & remove motor mounts to raise engine..... REALLY …. WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING GMC.... WHO DESIGNED THAT MESS. Goes to show that your right when sometimes you think they put this stuff together with no respect of ever getting it out to repair....But I got lucky , all I had to do was take out one motor mount & raise it up a few inches and held it in place with a strap around my ceiling beam.... took some wiggling and frustration but got the pan off and on .

I can't tell you how impressed i was that you got the pan off the beast. I had changed the timing chain and intake gaskets on mine. I assume that garbage got into the oil pump and lost oil pressure. Before I had good pressure; changing intake gasket I broke the oil sending unit. So I thought the new one was giving me wrong readings. It was not! Removed engine and had to polish the journals on the main bearings. You're the man.
It is interesting that we all came together and now your truck is working, I am so happy for you. Enjoyed the video!

It wasn't the easiest thing to do. .at one point when I needed a wee bit more lift to clear the steering arm , I was about to just tear the entire system out. All my available jacks were used to add support to the engine being held by the strap . I remembered I still had my floor jack which I kept in placed on the frame for added safety even tho I had jack stands used also. So I just lifted the truck more/ removed the trans. mount nuts then lowered the jack stand and the truck lower . Made it a little harder to work under but It worked. I did make sure the drive shaft front U joint was in the position to allow the tail of trans to be able to tilt. Sure didn't want to create more damage possible snapping the U joint or tranny tail /seal /bearing damage ….
