Does removing that relay affect anything else?

Be a pioneer man! Get out there and give it your best shot. If you get stuck, snap some pictures and post them. We'll try to help out when necessary, but I don't have a '96 sittin' here to pull apart or I'd have already done so and you would have all of the information you need.

I will attempt to remember to look at my other reference DVD's tonight... But things have been hectic for the last few weeks here for me so no promises...

The Haynes manual does not describe or show pics of how to remove the headlight if it is a compostie housing compared to a sealed beam. If you have a sealed housing then it is described in the Haynes 2 Gen manual. Hope this helps a little, you should be able to check out the manual at your local library or it should only be like 15-20 bucks at a car parts store.

swartlkk -

i might try it, but i'd feel better if i had a little more of an idea of what i was getting into... anything you can find is appreciated... Google searches aren't turning much up...

lennyblazer -

i have the composite (9005/9006 bulb) headlights, not the sealed beam... maybe i could check with the service department at my local dealer about it...
