This is the one I bought. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/USB-P...motiveQ5fTools

Took about a week and a half to come from over seas. It worked with my 1995 but was temperamental sometimes(prob because of my 95 being odb 1.5, or the included software). Once it was up and running I had no problems. They do include software and I have used other software with it. When I get to it I will use it on the 1998. Oh and I prefer XP over vista for running the software.

Yea Ill hook it up tomorrow. Hopefully the weather clears up. Yeah pretty much all sensors. o2 sensor voltage, timing, load, coolant, etc. I used the software that's include(scantool.net I believe) but I also "acquired" http://www.palmerperformance.com/pro...lelm/index.php SCANXL. So I will test that stuff tomorrow.

All generic OBD2 sensors correct? How about sub systems? Transmission? ABS? Airbag?

Well heres a update. My innova read my tranny codes. Wouldn't clear them. Finally hooked up the USB unit to the car. Works great much better than on my 95. Reads all sensors. Also from what I could tell, it read and was able to clear the tranny codes. Will experiment with it more today. I tried 5 free programs and they all worked right away. http://scan-tool.net/sc/pages.asp?pageid=60

Default more scanner info?

Sears is selling two scan tools, a Innova and a Actron (only have Sears p/n's). They both are $99 (reg $129).

They both seem like the will do the same thing, is one manufacturer better than the other??

Thanks
Royce
