vaccum resovoir
The vac resovoir is right in back of the abs assemb in the fender. If you look down behind the abs assemb you will see a nipple coming out, that is where you have to plug it in.

i did the vise grip test with the 4x4 and it works perfect. so now i have a vaccum problem? i was thinking about hooking up the wet vac and listen for the hissing. or driving water trough. the tri connection on top of transfer case when i chrcked it last week was loose so does this mean i have to haul the tc out. i really appreciate your opinion swartikk? you are a really good technichian ty

Thanks for the reply to his question. I was researching all day yesterday and today trying to find out what a vacuum hose was that went to the motor with a check valve and a tee as you described here. I have tried looking for the reservior from the engine compartment but the short hose would be only long enough to hit the fender area.. approx 4" long. I guess its time to remove a fender and connect her up. This will now finish my LT1 installation.
Thanks again!

Stand along side the Drivers side fender, look down at the ABS system Look at the bolt that mounts it to the car on the Right hand side of the ABS. directly under that is the nipple.. you do have to reach back to the fender though. I just replaced that dried up hose Sunday. It's done blind though all feel.
Not that anyone has replied to this thread in a while, but lets move the hesitation discussion over to THIS THREAD and let the "vacuum resovoir" discussion continue here if need be.
