Alpine makes great subs.....that guys retarded for saying they dont. Pioneer's subs are nothing to brag about, go slap that guy in the head [:'(]

Type R's are 1 of the best bang for the buck subs you can get.

Drperry runs an S, he can tell you first hand.

If its clean powerful bass your looking for.....do not skimp on the amp

My Type-S is in a pre-built Bassworx box, and it sounds pretty damned good in there...

I need to get a quality box built for it, lol.

I power it with my nice little 350W RMS alpine amp, and it rumbles and thumps pretty good...

The Type-S is rated for 300W, but since my system has no audible distortion at max volume, It's got no issues so far...

i say go with Kickers
i thought i would put in my 2 cents on Dual subs. the subs SUCK hardcore, but the bandpass boxes are actually decent boxes. my brother put his Rockford P1 10" 's in a Dual box and it actually hit pretty decent and sounded good.

Dont go with the duals like all are saying my buddy just went and got them two days ago with that deal they got going on and I have to tell you, he allready blew them and went and got some alpine subs. There is a reason why certain subs cost more, they last longer and hit harder!!!

Do not buy those! Sorry for repeting that for the 100th time just want you to know...

Look into other brands such as Kicker, Alpine, JL, Eclipse, Image Dynamics, RE etc. Most of the time at best buy they are going to try and get your cash, not help you out with a respectable system. Half the kids there are 16 years old and drive Hondas with a can on the back and home theatre speakers in the trunk...
