You can still get noise from a sub amp espescially if it mounted so that amp chassis is grounded.
some of the trucks came with a double din space such as my 04. i believe it was the 04/05 with a double din and the bravada starting in 2002ish... i'm not 100% sure though
I can see maybe mid 50s possibly, but not high 50s on music.
but ya, alot of them seem to be hitting 150+ on music with sundown gear....an sa-18 for $350ish would be nice.....
and commenting about recent posts in this thread.....in dash flip outs suck imo. the gears on mine are all plastic and stopped working after about a year and now i have no choice but to leave it open.

i refuse to even think about using flip outs just because of IMO the tackiness of it. i only see them in the "BIG BALLA" cars around here if you get what i'm saying and i just can't stand that persona so i carry it over. My brother had one in his GTO and got rid of it within 2 months of owning one because of how crappy it was
and you know this how?
With the area im working with, the lower power will be made up with a box and design taking up just about 40 cubic feet of space. The numbers we came up with are showing flat response from 30hz all the way to 45ish hz. So the high 50 score may not be in the low 30hz range. But it is entirely possible.
I have with a lot of the Sundown guys and the guy who's helping me spoke with Pete Sontag (dunno if you guys know who he is but he's a big dog in the SPL scene) and he said it is entirely possible to do a high 50 on music. He even said a low 160 may be scene on a good day.
yea 150+ at 30hz is hard to do but not impossible. No worries I will be doing a build so everyone can see whats going on
Jacob has already said that he wont be doing an 18 in the SA series due to the fact that the 2.5" VC wont work on the 18. Although there is a NEO 8" driver in the works as we speak
