Is the radio the only thing you ever plan to do audiowise?

I do consider myself to be tech savy, but I always thought that amps were for powering your subs, thats why i misunderstood you. A radio and new speakers. I have 6 speakers i believe, and only 2 work . Anyone have any suggestions for replacing my speakers? Don't feel like starting a new thread.

most people think that a big bass systems and stock speakers sound good. but, when you get into quality cars they have all speakers and subs amplified. either way, good luck with whatever you choose.
for cheap easy swaps, use the pioneer coaxials. cost me $80 for 6 and ended up selling them for $80 when i upgraded to my component set.
to install them:
with 4 door blazers, you take the door panels off and unscrew the speakers, screw new speakers in after connecting them to the speaker leads, put the panels back on and enjoy them.
dash speakers are two screws that hold the panel on, a few more that hold the tweeter in. unclip the leads, connect them to your new speakers, screw them down, put cover back on. done.
