Default Let it bump! Stereo question

2001 jimmy SLS Diamond.

Iam giving up the civic to dedicate my time to the jimmy, Looking to install my stereo, the head unit is a 208w sony explode bluetooth with pioneer 6.5s, kenwood componet 6x9s, sony 12 inch woofers and two sony 600w amps with capicaters.

Just wondering if the original stereo need to be connected to the jimmy for the security system? and does the jimmy have its own amp or is the wiring derect to each speaker?

Thanks guys

I don't believe that the stereo is required to be installed to the vehicle for the security system, but the stereo may have a theft lock on it.

As far as the amp, it should be direct if its anything like a 97 blazer LS.
