You know, that whole thing with the surrounds "tearing" when it's cold out is something i've heard from a lot of people. I've had my system maxed @ -20F before up here in WI with no problems, and my system is about 6 years old!

it seemed like my sub didnt wanna hit the low notes real well when i first ran my system when it snowed, kinda would make sense since everything is pretty cold and the sub doesnt wanna move as much as to when it is warm out?

heck no, -40*C here and no problems with mine.......and ya, its all like 4 years old....

Main things I'd worry about in cold weather are tire pressure and my alternator. Never had a problem with my subs when I went up north for the winter, ever.

i'm from winnipeg and it's freezing here. i always pound the subs in the winter, but i do warm them up first on a lower setting first. just to make sure the subs rubber is flexable, or it doesn't crack.
