97 Blazer - resurrecting the James dream

the latest....
where we started. $2,100.00. Bent rim. Garbage tires. Broken grille. Overall not a bad starting point.
today. It has all the Jimmy's suspension, rear axle (torsen diff and discs), side mirrors, and more. A lot of new parts are on it too. I've not wheeled it yet, but I still have a few things to do and then find a group to go with.
kinda where its going. Doing some cuts like the skidz. Plan to add a bit of a body lift, but not much. The rear bumper will get its final mods and be painted to match. Remove nearly all the badges and trim. Some paint touch ups and the black between the windows.
Still need to put the stock skids on and fabricate my own up front along with some kind of short stinger/light bar. Plan to build side-steps/sliders. Also have a rear diff girdle/skid idea I saw on a feature truck in a magazine.
It's came a long way and is a lot of fun to drive. It is better than the Jimmy in every way.
Working on our project farm-truck/pre-runner too. It's my 94 ecsb 2wd I bought new, sold, and recently got back. Nothing crazy right now. Many repairs and replacements. New springs, shackles, BL. It's run silver-painted soft-8s and my Firestone 31x10.50 ATs that came off the Blazer. Pics to come.....
