Black 4 door jimmy build
#21
A bit of an update on my 1996 jimmy. Installed a double din stereo today. Looks and sounds great. Did a write up on it in the audio section. Whent out to a wreckers yesterday and picked up a full floor shift center console with shifer and a used brake booster (nasty to remove but mine is leaking) all for $20 . Not going to complain. So that will be next weekend project. Also found a set of 17" alloy wheels from a camaro that are going to go in for soda blasting. Lots of fun coming up for my truck. Will update as i go.

I like the interior panels very much.
U said they are 1 offs. Who did em 4 u
I used 2 door og rear plastic panels on my build, long story on a 97 4x4
Had to make the rest using abs sheets and a heat gun
Same w/walls. But an escalade headliner worked well. Including rear a/c. Almost done...

2 ZR2s
I have a 2005 Jimmy Highrider ZR2 and a 2000 Blazer ZR2 that are in stages of restoration. Interior is a difficult issue although the Jimmy has the aftermarket faux carbon fibre bezels and door panel inserts. Your interior upgrades are really nice. May I ask did you do them and what did you use?

I used the 95 2dr blazer rear panels, cutting the top roll over part and added abs plastic, welded too existing length to roll up the wall and carpet to cover.
in the very back, i made pieces using 1/8th inch abs plastic to cover the rear a/c of a 2000 escalade. Also used that same headliner for all the overhead vents, etc. A friend made a plenum to go inside the wall to transfer the ac.
the fold down seats worked well in the back too.. i cut the hardwood floor out of 54 dodge and used blazer rear floor, welded in.
Measuring the dodge and what to keep
Fitting the firewall to cab byshings with dash clearances at "a" post
Sandblasting and then add rear section of 4dr blazer flooring

100 percent photos to come
Ive cleaned up where they join with a small rectangular curved piece w/carpet to hold both in place
Both rear pieces come out, passenger side has rear ac, drivers side hides jack, tire tools, and fuel neck
