So, I kinda have a game plan worked out for the under hood ducting. Was showed a website that has all kinds of silicone couplers, fittings, etc. So hooking it all up shouldn't be too big an issue.
Making it look clean, however... That's gonna be the hard part. I'm gonna need to move like three looms of wires. Hoping to get them tucked into the inner fender and out of the way
I use my harbor freight heat gun quite a bit. Got it as a Xmas gift from my brother. He noticed a need after I was using a lighter for heat shrink on the fuel pump we replaced...
Can't wait to see the finished product.
Figured I might as well rebuild that front driveshaft. No telling how many miles might have been on it.
Decided against having it balanced, didn't want to spend the money, and with the tcase engaged there is no vibration, even up to 60 mph, so I'm gonna consider it good.
Haven't done much with the snorkel. I'm gonna have to move a few factory wire looms, and I haven't had much time to devote to it so far this week. Maybe Saturday I'll get some good garage time in
Got the outside of the snorkel finished up this morning. It's not a perfect fit, but I hit the angle with a heat gun, and gently pulled it down towards the A pillar. There's a little gap between them, but nothing I can't live with
Been working on moving a bunch of wire harnesses into the inner fender, in preparation of installing the new air filter housing. I had to cut and lengthen one factory harness, but it was only four wires.
I'm having to move my relay panel towards the firewall about an inch and a half, then I can start figuring out how to connect the snorkel to the throttle body
