I forget what i paid for it... I pulled it out of the junkyard last year and have been meaning to swap it in for a while. Install is easy, it only takes like 10 minutes. Just need to pull the battery / SIR fuse, unclip the airbag from the back of the wheel, disconnect the connection and use a wheel puller to pull off the wheel.

...either that or take it to the dealer and tell them it turned on driving down the highway one day and i can't get it to shut off no matter what i do.
I tried the dealer option, they wouldn't look at it since I modified the brakes. A resistor, or black tape it is...

That mod won't work on my '96, I don't think. I pulled the bulb(not LED on mine) and it turns the Brake light on if the ABS light is missing or burned out.

Oh whoops i forgot yours is a 96 ... Have you tried just unplugging the big plug by the air filter on the abs module?

thats what i did on my 97 to get rid of the light.

The ABS module is unplugged, sitting on the shelf in the shop. The trucks ECU sets the ABS light because the module isn't there, and sets the BRAKE light if it has a fault with the ABS bulb. Truck's too smart for it's own good...

Hmm I had just the large connector unplugged on my 97 with everything else still plugged in and didnt have either of the front abs sensors hooked up and got no lights. Maybe if completely unplugged / removed it sets the light off...

After making an insane low ball offer through email on CL my solid axle obsession has gotten the best of me today (again)... I picked up a D44 front axle out of a 86 Jeep Grand Wagoneer. No immediate plans for it, but eventually it will end up under a truck i own lol.

here's a pic:

^That SOB is a lot heavier than a d30. Loading it just about broke my back at the guys house. what a PITA... but it will be worth it.

Im still not sure which rear axle I'm going to pair it with... i could find an Isuzu Rodeo rear D44 that's the same bolt pattern... swap Ford 5 lug outers onto it and run the Ford 9" i have in pieces in my garage. OR swap 8 lug outers and run a Cab and Chassis 14 Bolt ff... decisions decisions

Other then that no real updates... been super busy with work which is why the t-case is still apart. I decided to go nuts and replace all bearings / seals etc. so im still waiting on parts for that anyways.
