There's just too much to go wrong with push buttons, I'd much rather have the piece of mind of a manual shift transfer case.

NP231C came in an HD version too, lots of 231c's came with heavier internals as well but the ones marked HD are guaranteed to have them.

I think we'll all be expecting photos of some goodies you find during your Black Friday shopping adventures Rex! Happy Thanksgiving!

you can get a 6 bolt transfer case adapter plate off of a fullsize pick up they run the 6 bolt transfercases and will bolt right on the trans

Default Tool Box for Sheila

I also got tired of my tools bouncing around the back of my girl. Also considering i use her every day and don't feel like moving all the tools for grocery shopping and just what ever i decided to build a tool box. I don't have any pics of the build but here is the final product.

I built the box and my Fiance knowing i love Halo decided to make a collage on the drawer face.

Here it is opened up. I put down anti slip in the bottom to keep my tools from sliding around on the smooth ply wood.
Also the drawer is on sliders which i waxed for smoothness.

I have two heavy duty folding handles on the side so i can easily pull out the box if i need more room. That ammo box to the right holds my tire chains so i never have to search them out when i wanna head up to he mountains. Also the hook lock there on the box keeps the weight inside the box from opening and slamming it into the tail gate and slamming it shut.

I used a old display for transformers 3 to separate the tool box from my spare tire to keep it from rubbing. And of course the gloves and foldable shovel under the tire for emergencies. All and all the whole thing full weighs about 80lbs but it still hops around when i charge through dipped intersections so maybe a tie down would be in order. If you noticed that black thing on the top. Its an old mud flap i found i put it up there to protect most of the wood from damage. Doesn't look great but i don't care.

Its pretty self explanatory so not much to explain but if anyone has questions feel free to ask. I plan to pull it out and paint it (probably black) and I am also thinking about adding a drawer to the middle section but I'm not sure about that yet! Well here's the pictures
The start of the frame

Added some cross support

I used cardboard to make templates of each side and then transfered them to the plywood

Test fit

I cut the solid piece into two for ease of installation and removal

And the final product so far

It gives me a ton of extra storage space to keep my recovery gear and other random things that don't leave the truck under there. Then I can pile everything else on top. Its plenty strong to hold anything that I could ever fit back there as well. Let me know what you think!

So far from the quick drive around the building it seems to have corrected my slow sloppy shifts. I will have to see some more on the drive home tonight but then I am losing my Blazer to the wife for a while cause she is finally going back to work tomorrow. I am still waiting on the Corvette servo due to crappy customer service from Pro-Built Automatics in California. I ordered it on the 13th and 3 phone calls and two emails later I still have not heard back from them nor have they charged my credit card for it. I would order one from somewhere else but then they would probably charge me and send it finally. Its not a rush for it but some sort of response would be nice. Ok rant over sorry!!
Heres a couple pics of the controller for it. Its a little crooked cause its only held on with velcro

CYPH3R and Rex, great ideas with the extra storage space. I have the same problem, too many tools rolling around and then no place for groceries, etc...
This weekend I did get my 4x4 vac actuator replaced with the improvised shift cable. It worked real well, once I realized that I had to put a little more pull on it than I first thought. Have any of you had problems with the shift cable conversion? After replacing the vac switch 3x, the actuator 2x, and then one time a vac line just fell of at the canister, I really like knowing I'm in 4x4 or not.

The price on the wheels was even sexier! Picked up all four for $130. The clear coat it peeling but I am stripping and painting them anyway so what do I care.

You've got me reconsidering the 4.88s for 5.13s too. I plan to run 37s so I may want a lower gears. I'm gonna look for some gears tonight and may amend my Xmas list lol.
