haha sweeeet! I wish I had a blazer enthusiast here in MN. Would be nice to get a helping hand on replacing these valve stem seals.

The build is coming along awesome dude. Now, hurry up!

Got some real work done today. Started with removing a few things that were in the way

Quick test fit

Then I realized I had to do something about the frame rails and the unevenness from the fold overlap.

So I cut strips of steel and welded them in and leveled it out so I would have a flat surface to weld the spring hanger from. It's not overly beautiful but it serves it's purpose and will be cover anyway.

Then 30 minutes of measuring and tweaking later I was here

And this is where I left it to head home from work

It's just some good heavy tacks to hold it until I can get the rear hangers made up and make sure everything is going to work out.

I'll also be putting my ORD winch mount up for sale soon so if anyone is interested let me know. I've also got the front skid plate already trimmed to fit with it that I'll likely sell with it if someone wanted that to.

I'm thinking you meant Murphy's Law ( Anything that can go wrong will go wrong.)?

Great build, watching in great appreciation of the thought and effort combined by you not only on the truck but also the publishing it all on the interwebz for all to see. Thank you!

A bit jealous that your job allows you to work on your own vehicle at work. I mighta missed it, but what do you do for work?

HAHA I don't know what your talking about the posts says Murphy's!! Ahh the perks of being a mod But thanks for pointing it out not even sure where I came up with Newton lol!

I am a logistics and customer service manager for a family owned furniture store. I have a 3500sqft warehouse to do as I please with as long as everything work related is still getting done. I usually work really hard for the first hour of my day then work on my truck for the next 6 and then work a bit for the last hour lol! I also spend a lot of time on the road going to customer homes and doing furniture repairs and restorations as well. My boss is pretty chill and doesn't mind that I work on my truck at all in fact he thinks its "cool". He keeps bugging me about when I am going to be finished with the swap cause he wants to see it finished.

I walked down a trail behind my shop today and noticed a bunch of tires laying around so I figured I would check them out! Nothing good until I came upon these.

Two perfectly good tires on 8x6.5 wheels!! So of course I wheeled them back to the shop and mounted them on the 14b so I could move it around and play until I get some real tires for the H2 wheels. I decided to see how wide it would be and to my suprise its really isn't much wider than it is right now. Of course these tires are not the 37x12.5s I'll be running but it gave me a good look at it anyway. I was also able to verify that I welded the spring perches on at the correct width lol.
This is with the axle centered. You can barely see the tire peaking out in the back.

Then I started to look into how I was going to mount my rear hangers and after looking at a ton of the build threads using the Sky kit I just didn't like the options. I don't think any of them are bad I just want my shackles tucked up inside the frame a bit rather than hanging down below it. After looking at the tube thru the frame like rabbit and acehaag have I was thinking of going that route and then I looked a BLZr1's rig again and saw that he used the dakota shackle mounts and shackles. I decided to look into this some more and used google to find shackle hanger pics and found that a ranger's rear shackle hanger is a bolt on piece very similar to the dakota but cheaper They are $20 at advance so I went and picked one up just to appease my curiosity!

Its a bit hard to see in the pics but as far as I am concerned this is going to work out very nicely.

The edge of the mount is almost even with the tbar as is the spring so I think with a bit of careful fab it should work out pretty well.

After checking both sides I ordered the other hanger and the shackles from Advance online using code (TRT30) and saved $21 on the purchase its a $26 savings if I were to return the mount I have and and by two with the code but its not worth the hassle for $6 lol. I will pick them up on my way home tonight. I don't believe anyone has ever used this combo before for an SAS so we will see how it goes and hopefully I have come up with another option for people want to swap their trucks!

Disclaimer: the names I mentioned in this post are from s10forum so please don't try and seek them out on this forum or you may spend a lot of time finding nothing lol!!
