First, invest in a Chilton or Haynes manual if not already done.

Second, I'd still defer to my first post about changing all of the little things (plugs, wires, cap & rotor)

Your problem ultimately is in one of three places: 1) fuel, 2) air, 3) electricity.

Seeing how it briefly started when you sprayed stuff into the throttle body, I'm still thinking fuel... Your injectors, after sitting for so long, may have become clogged. IDK for sure. Something (rust, dirt) coulda shot through the gas line when the fuel pump and filter were changed out and then primed again. But if I really wanted to get this thing working I would change the plugs, wires, distributor cap and rotor, and test the selenoid. I would also go to an auto store and rent a computer scanner to see if your shooting codes. Your MAF sensor may be bad (example not rec.).

WELL the new fuel pump works. There's fuel pressure. Mission accomplished.

1 down(fuel), 2 to go (air and electricity). I'm going to check the distributor cap and wires tomorrow. I'll need the special tools for getting the plugs out so that may take me awhile, hopefully they're not the problem since there's only 44k miles on the thing... wish me luck!
