1999 blazer, dies if not givin gas
Whats goin on guys, i bought this thing at an auction and its a terd. It starts if you give it gas and runs 100% perfectly fine. if you let off, it dies. It is like this in park, or while your driving or in neutral. No check engine light, no misfire, puuuurrrsss like a kitten if your just steadily crusin. ANY IDEAS ???
This could be caused by a leaking EGR valve which is easy enough to pull, clean, and reinstall with the screened gaskets that are available. Follow the EGR Valve Cleaning thread.
There also could be a fuel pressure issue, whether its lack of pressure (doesn't quite match for your symptoms) or a leak in the system under the plenum (somewhat matches). Run a fuel pressure test to make sure everything is working properly
