Interesting Horsepower TV today...

The ease of getting to the bell housing bolts is a major plus of a BL and one of the reasons I like mine. Jacking the engine up ruining that is about pointless in my book. I know holley and a few others are making aftermarket pans for these things so its only a matter of time a modded one comes out. My problem is everything is still a big question mark on the first gen 4x4s, I been looking for 2 weeks about putting a LM7 in my 87 and cant come up with a straight forward answer yet. I'll prolly just wind up selling the 5.3 since it was free and use that money to rebuild this gen 1 5.7 and keep it TBI.

They dyno'd the stock 4.3 at I think 140hp at the wheels. They did not finish the install of the 5.3 yet. Those motor mounts sure looked liked at pita.

well......i missed all of my Power Block & Daytona watching this weekend.
but from the sounds of things, HPTV was a wash.
maybe i'll waste the time to look @ their web. probably just wait 'til next week for a short recap.

Was over 300 hp to the wheels, maybe 313 somewhere in there. Sounded pretty good.
