Made the run down to the Blazer again today (spring break '23 baby!) and gave it some more love.

*More fresh fuel added along with more seafoam. *Changed the oil (last change sticker said July 2016!)
*Bled the brakes and gave it new fluid.
*Flushed the HELL out of the radiator/reservoir/block and gave it all new coolant.
*Topped up the power steering fluid.
*Fixed the codes: Mass Air Flow wires chewed down to 1 out of 3. Spliced in 2 temp wires).
*Found a "random" yellow wire up by the oil filter that was severed and fixed that.

Drove it for about 3 miles, let it idle for 2 hours, then ran it for 15 miles. No longer sounds like an old tractor! It's running better than it did before I parked it now.

A number of issues were found:
^heater/ac doesn't work
^exhaust leak looks to be at the D side flange above the O2 sensor...
^P side CV is blown...
^Rear lift glass and hatch won't unlock...
^Odometer, gear indicator, and half of the speedometer doesn't light up...

Aaaannndddd about a million other little things are stacking up.

If all goes to plan it should be trailered up and in the side yard this time next week.

Most of a dash cluster!

The artist of that particular piece is damn near 40, Jim

Just got the blazer home to Tacoma, and parked in front to drive down property values. My goal is to triage how much sitting has hurt it, order up some parts, and do a summer rebuild of the supension parts, put in the ZR2 diffs, clean up the interior and re-bedline it. I'll keep you all posted.

Also a slightly more current picv

Glad to see your getting your Blazer to go back as mine is getting ready to go to Moab and the San Rafael Swell in Utah.

Blazers and S-10's are rare on the trails but last year when I took mine over Taylor Pass in Colorado a guy in a side by side asked me if I had driven from the other side and told me that was the most impressive thing he's seen all day.

They are more capable than people believe. so have fun out on the trails
