I should have said Tech2 option for the 98+ as this was when they put the BCM in. I do not know how or if it can be programmed on the 96-97.

I have read some stuff that seems to suggest that if you hold the lock button for at least 4 seconds, press & hold the unlock button, and then release the lock button, that it may enable/disable this function, but I am unsure of the application. It is something that is easily tried.

i looked at the receiver on mine and the fcc id is ABO 0116T.

when i search on ebay for this i found five results.

but they say pontiac and buick. i understand they are GM vehicles as well but just wondering if these are going to work with my blazer. thanks.

My 97 dosent do it either. I think they are not programmed to.

The FCC ID on the receiver should end with an R.

Where would one find the reciever to get the FCC ID? Total n00b, so pics would be handy :-)

Depends on what you are driving. Most RKE modules are under the driver side dash near the DLC (data link connector).

so if i buy a fob that says abo0116t it should work, right?

I just wanted to be sure. Yes, so long as you match the FCC ID from the receiver to that of the transmitter, you should be set.
