Non pro body work. 3m adhesive instead of welding. Was recommended by body to do it this way. easier, faster. I'm happy with the results

Turned out good.

When I did the floor pans in the Jimmy I used a combination of 3m panel bond adhesive and spot welds. Never let me down.

Nothing wrong with that. That's what the body shops use. Just alittle different setup - a dual caulking gun that automatically mixes the components at the tip.

Alot of the new vehicles have such thin sheet metal that welding is impossible. You have to use high tech adhesives.

was scary cutting into the body, but ended up being a very easy job. No welds to grind, easy one bead sanding right on the curve of the body. easy to hide. next week, other side.

That is what I got when I did mine, had the tip that had 2 chambers to mix as it went through, came out perfect.

Got rid of all the rust on the door seams and hood on the TB ( not much ) and coated it all with por-15.

Going to wait a week for it to set up and paint over it with some color match paint.

First rust free vehicle we have owned. Feels nice.

Now doing little random rust removal. Removed the hood support and the battery hold down and cleaned them up and put por-15 on them.

Next up will be an oil change and probably change the fluid and filter in the tranny before winter, and new tires.
Going to go with the same tires that are on the truck right now, Hankook Dynopro ATM.

Its funny, every tire site I have gone to when I enter the factory tire size on this truck (245/65/17) they tell me that was not an option for the vehicle.. but it was.

Truck should be back from the shop today. Next just the tensioner, Door pins, dash tweeters and some body work. then it will be worthy of new tires.
