Yeah, bought them 6 inches long and after you slide the pump on and get the top bolts started, you simply unscrew the threaded rods and screw in the bottom bolts. tighten them all up and you're done

Got the new H2O pump bolted on. Didn't bother with the threaded rod trick, just lathered the gaskets up with RTV and stuck them to the pump, RTV'ed the threads for the pump and slid them into the pump and through the gaskets, and just lined it up, started the bolts one at a time, then torqued them down. Love how easy these 4.3's are to work on, whole process took maybe 45 minutes Everything put back together, going to let it sit overnight for the RTV to cure and put antifreeze in it tomorrow.

Done with plenty of daylight to spare, I installed something I've been a long time sceptic of. I'd never buy one with my money, but I got it for absolutely free complete with all accompaning hardware, so I figured what's to lose. Throttle body spacer... we shall see... I have no high expectations lol

just raised your throttle body up, thats all. They were meant to mix the air and fuel better but our trucks have injectors plugged right into the head. It only mixes air

Yup, completely useless on anything past the old TBI motors.

I put a spacer on my '94 K1500 I used to own - had a 350 TBI. It actually LOST power. Totally killed the low-end grunt that thing used to have.

Went to the salvage yard and got the metal "loop' latch for the glovebox. Glovebox now works (closes and latches) like a champ. Bad news/ The Salvage yard guy has sold his place and is going out of business...

Put antifreeze back in her after the water pump job yesterday and took her for a test drive, no leaks and no overheating, so I guess that's a success :P

The spacer, well, lol... that's about I can say about it, "lol"... No difference... Maybe a cool whistle noise at the right RPM and throttle position, that's about it... I'll leave it on for a tank of gas and see if there's anything long term difference, but I have a feeling it's going to come back off. GLAD I didn't pay anything for it as my suspicions have held up lol
