Got rid of a warped rotor

By installing these!

They stop GREAT!

Only downside, can hardly see them through my wheels :P

Only installed the fronts today after work. Throwing the rears on tomorrow since my new parking brake shoes didn't come in today... suppose to be delivered tomorrow... Oh well, good to break it up into 2 days anyhow I guess, with the recent time change I had just enough time to get the fronts done and a test/break-in drive in as it was getting dark.

Brake Motive, $170 shipped

Bought off eBay. I put the same one on the wife's car a while back and drove up through the mountains and they did great, so I had no hesitations about getting the same ones for the Blazer.

I did my idler arm a few weeks ago too. Now I’m also waiting for tie rod ends to come.

Yesterday, I got tired of looking at my missing front emblem, so I made one out of vinyl.

blazen_red - NICE!

stevebre1 - Also a very nice idea.

The emblem on my saab is gone and your vinyl just gave me an idea!

I on my part just got my crankshaft balanced for the build engine.

Yesterday I took a couple bamboo skewers and cleaned out the needles from the western larch trees (tamaracks) from the door jams and at the base of the rear windows. I also used my remote grabber tool (you know the one that you press a spring-loaded button on one end and then four little fingers come out) to grab at more the needles.

I will also remove the grill beneath the windshield to clean these out in the spring once all of the ash tree leaves (with really small leaves) have stopped falling.

Below is a picture of what I found when I was replacing my blower motor. I'll be adding this to my spring clean out too.

Attempted to install the rear rotors and pads today, and yeah that didn't go too well...

Wrong rotors... Just emailed the seller, hopefully I can get the correct ones this week so I can throw them on next weekend. The fronts worked out GREAT on the trip I took last week for Thanksgiving, I just really want the rears to match now lol.

I only realized once I had the wheels off and calipers and brackets off, so while I was in there I went ahead and regreased the caliper slider pins :P The passenger sides were hardly moving at all so they needed it...

But yeah I think they sent me 2wd rear rotors...

Default Trip to Florida 😁

So this is the first road trip to the states that I actually made it the whole trip without a major issue with the blazer... first time was when we bought it... ball joints, 2nd time was when pulling our camper to Florida the driveshaft and yoke broke right after crossing the border. Third time was the charm and not an issue except gas consumption... I'll take it!!!

So I should say that we made it to Florida without a problem... the trip isn't done yet... I got 7 days down here... but I do think we need cv axles... got a bad wobble but no tire wear...
