Installed new set of drilled/slotted rotors on my 02. Very happy!

 

PASSED EMISSIONS TODAY....waiting for next problem

owner at garage that did test,asked if i had a lift....thinking if i ever had an opportunity to use one...probably wouldn't know what to do...ha-ha

 

Did a brake job on my 02, upgraded to drilled/slotted rotors and ceramic pads. Also mounted up the Extreme wheels I picked up a few weeks ago at the boneyard. Good day for the green monster!

 

passed inspection, undercoated and dodged a bullet, break line started leaking and the found it before it blew. She's all ready for winter.

 

I managed to remove the sway bar, wheel hub, rotor,caliper, and shock. Broke both ball joints loose and broke the pickle fork.

I discovered the lower ball joint had been replaced but was totally shot. The upper was stiff and tight. The wheel and were moving so it was a good decision to replace the ball joints.

still have to replace the control arm bushings upper and lower. Also the shocks.

going to tackle the front diff bushings and the steering box as well.

 

Just got my Blazer back from the shop with a engine taken off a 2003 with 80k on it.

Except for enlarging a hole so the knock sensor could fit, the swap went swimmingly and my 2000 drives like a brand new vehicle. It doesn't feel underpowered at all anymore. Still a bit anemic but nowhere near as bad. I feel like I have a whole new love for the truck.

 

With our Canadian friends sharing the cold temps with Montana and with Montana not to be out done and they just have to share with northern Wyoming and I heat my large shop with a wood burner, I've cut and split fire wood for a few days - Does that count - lol

 

Loaded my set of 5 Camaro wheels and Mickey Thompson AT tires inside the cab and brought them home today after work. Weather permitting I'll get outside tomorrow, clean them up, and mount them up and see how they look. I'm predicting already that I'll be too lazy to paint them black tomorrow but to be fair I want to see how they fit and ride before I go through the trouble of sanding and painting them anyhow...
