Took my Blazer deer hunting yesterday. No real challenges for her but I sure was gratified that she is still running well and taking care me.

I put the lessons I learned disassembling and reassembling the drivers side front end to use on the passenger side. Only took a hour to remove the old control arm bushings and about the same to install. The drivers side took a couple of afternoons as I had no clue what I was doing.

I did put the wheel hub on twice second time with the o ring installed but I did clean up the corrosion so I hope the ABS light goes out. Was getting about twice the voltage as before.

I am going slow since I cleaning up or painting parts and chasing threads with a tap and die. Using anti seize where appropriate.

Have to install the passenger upper control arm, brakes, and shock and I'll be done there.

Then the other stuff begins like installing the sway bar, bleeding the power steering (new steering gear) and reinstalling the torsion bars. Of course I pulled the mount and painted it with new hangers.

Must make the alignment appointment on Friday at 2 PM.

Looks exactly like the body mount on my '94 s10 plow truck. When they start getting that bad, I usually just let 'em be, because the rest of the vehicle isn't far behind ...

Installed new rear pads and calipers. Now my Blazer has better brakes than my wife's 2015 Nissan Rogue that only has 20k miles on it. I never realized how much the siezed up calipers were slowing me down. The throttle response is so quick and effortless now. Huge improvement.
