I run Valvoline 10-30 year round and have lately been running up to 5k on changes as all of my operation is at highway speed and my 206k unit uses 1/2 qt in that time, where my Lincoln uses a quart every 1000 miles with only 65k on it! But Fords have always used oil at a higher rate and last just as long!
I am at 191,000, been using synthetic since I got it, and not a single oil leak *knock on wood*
Same with my 94 when I had it, only used synthetic, 202k miles before some idiot hit it and totaled it, no oil leaking on that one either.

5 quarts of 10-30 with 1/2 of stabilizer....
i have noticed reading this thread that no one seems to run stabilizer.... interesting...
anyway, that gives me a total of 5 1/2 quarts in the pan when the engine isn't running.

My car has had Castrol pretty much every oil change
When Buddy did the timing belt he said the inside was pretty much spotless at 150K km
He actually wanted to know what brand I used
My Blazer gets what ever is free at work LOL
We often get crushed cases that are unsalable so I stock up on that
