Go for 2 inches if that's what you want. Any modification from stock presents issues with stock component wear.

I only went up 1.25....I went 1.5 at first..but the ride was absolutely terrible...couldn't take a speed bump without blowing a vertabrae..So I backed it down and now I'm pricing out new shocks (to help with the harshness as my front shocks have 100k on them)

 

so saying all of this will it put me about the same height as a zr2??

 

I'll see if I can park next to a ZR2 tomorrow and get a pic..there's quite a few rolling around NCSU. I'm pretty dang close to a ZR2 as best I can tell when I'm driving beside them...but we'll see. You shouldn't need more than the 2' tbar lift...maybe better tires to complete the zr2 look..

yeah, your not going to be going through parts every other week, it takes awhile, supposibly with 2" you cant trail ride because of cv angles, i trail ride all the time mud/dirt/sand/really bumpy dirt roads/potholes ect.. i have several hundred miles on it, and honestly the cv axle angles really dont look all that bad, i dont know if im just used to seeing it or what, but who knows.

 

With your torsions cranked up 2" inches will make your truck drive stiff and over time will wear our suspension components like cv's, balljoints and ect. Not saying it will happen right away but over time. When I did my lift the torisions were cranked up all the way and i blew out both cv axles. Granted I have over 95k on them now, so it was about due to be replaced anyway. SoI would just go 1.5" max. Btw their are multiple threads on here regarding this same exact question.

 

also, at the age of 16? im guessing, you have not seen or driven very many truck like this very many miles. Nor have you done this to more than just your blazer. I'm not saying age means everything, i'm just saying that your one personal account does not qualify as the god given truth. You may be the lucky 1% that has no problems, but as for the other 99%........
