Do you think just using normal lifting kit would be better?

wondering about the durability of the pucks.

alot of people will tell you its not a good idea. personally i think its people who have never tried it or have heard some kind of horror story. i have pucks on my truck (2") and have for a while. there have been many s series through my family over the years and id say 3/4's of them ended up on pucks at some point, either lift or replacement. i have never seen an issue. that being said thats a pretty good price by the time you buy pucks, bolts, washers etc you might as well just grab the kit. one tip to anyone planning on pucks, find i piece of abs pipe thats a tight fit to the pucks. makes it look alot tidier. lol ya i know im a redneck

i did a 3" puck lift on a friends 1st gen about 10 years ago. he had the truck for 4 or 5 years, and while it lasted, they did seem to be deteriorating near the end. but they never fell out of the truck.

mind you.......his wife did say the truck road hard. but she was (is) a bitch anyways.

yeah, my thoughts exactly Curtis.

problem is, after listening to her moan 'n groan for almost 3 years about the truck, less than 6 months after she gave up on it, he dumps it for an Escalade ESV.

finally wins the arguement...........then gives in!
