Default damn blinker noise.

So I purchased my Blazer Thursday and have noticeda few weird issues. First one that caught my attention was the blinker sound was constantly going off the only time it would stop would be when I hit my breaks. I've a few other threads that said that the multifunction switch will go bad cause that problem to happen. So I was wonderin if anybody could point me in the right direction.

Also my heat seams to always be scolding hot and neve turns off. I don't have a clue to start with this one but any help would be appreciated.

Btw it is a 1999 chevy blazer with the trailblazer trim. Thanks for the help.

That would be, if you're lucky, the hazard switch which costs just a little. Play with it and see if wiggling it will make that stop. You can try to wedge it in that position until you get the replacement. 15 or so bucks

Start with describing what functions of the heater work properly, okay?
Check the fuses in side of dash and vacuum line through the firewall, see if it will hold a vacuum.

PS .. you got a Blazer now.. you need more tools than a few wrenches. Go to the tech side and read the DIY's

Ha thanks for the heads up. I havnt had time to play with it yet still cleaning it up but the situation with the heat... if I. Have it turned to the off position it still blows scorching heat. I have the temp turned all the way to the coldest setting and still nothing changes. The fan speed still works.

See if I got this straight. You can switch fan speed but even when system is 'OFF' fan keeps blowing.
Right?

Can you switch the vents?

The system works with both electrical and vacuum controls.. help us out, here. Describe exactly everything that works and doesnt work right.

Yes i can switch the vents. All vents work as far as i can tell. The fan speeds also work except for the off function.

I notice it most while driving on the highways especialy when accellerating and the RPMs rise.

Also its as if the temp control does not exist its one temp all the time. Hot.
Thanks for the help.

Also in regards to the blinker issue Dorman OE Solutions 924-608 - Hazard Warning Switch | O'Reilly Auto Parts
Do i just need the actual switch or the whole wiring harness and new wiring?

Also would you suggest replacing the multi function switch? I found a couple for sale for 150$.
