I would get a full kit if I did not already have good ballasts.

I think this summer if I decide to retro (hope I have the time) I will just get the Mini h1's and some bulbs, and use my current ballasts.

55W XB35 5000k bulbs with 5Five ballasts. I was going to go with the H1s until I talked to the guys at TRS, they were pretty convincing that I should try the D2S 3.0s.

Should be a bit of an improvement. By the sounds of it the 3.0's should outperform the H1's. If they do, then you should be very happy. I'm holding of on ordering some 3.0's as I don't need them per say right now. Hoping maybe some "value" ones pop up later once the hype blows over and they get caught up.

I hope for that too. I could always get the d2s 3.0's and get the canbus to amp harness so I can use my ballasts that I have now.
