im gonna try tearing off all the california emissions stuff and ac compressor that should free up a couple ponies then im gonna fab up a nice cold air intake and that will just have to hold me over till i find the cash for the vortec5.3 0r 6.0 swap

Sorry, the TBI 305 is TOUGH to get any power out of. The TPI (Tuned Port) 305 was a different story though. Those things ran pretty good for what they were, albeit still behind the mustang 5.0 in the same era. Still better off to throw an LS style motor in it and make big power for a lot cheaper.

Engine swap is the way to go for cheap.
BTW: I positvely LOATHED the 70's Camaro and Corvette styling. The changes in the eighties got me watching them again. Camaro deserved the design awards they got. They're still handsome.. but would look better with a refresh aftermarket blunt/rounded nose.
Evidently Chevy put those old guys from late 60 to design the Chevy II and Citation

Really.. took years for GM to overcome the piece of crap 65 full size.. then in the eighties right back to it.
Taurus and Crown Vic didnt capture the market, GM surrendered it.

at some point im gonna have to start a build on my camaro just fabbed up some seat brackets and put some berreta seats in they look really good in there although they do sit a couple inches higher but they look like racing seats color matches my interior got a fender to yep i think im gonna take some pics and start a build thread on this diamond in the ruff
