Default Roof Rack

The roof rack paint on my '01 blazer is chipping at some spots. What would be the best kind of paint to touch this up with?

I have the same issue with my 04. Local body shop said I can't just touch it up. Must repaint the entire thing. Sounds fishy to me, but I'm considering options.

I'd just get Rustoleum black spray paint and hit it with that.

There are a few things you can do, If you use your roof rack a lot, You can scuff up and clean the surface with 200-300 grit sand paper, and then tape it all off and spray it with bed liner, it will be durable and last long, and looks pretty good
If you just want it black, scuff it with 200-300 grit sandpaper, wash it, tape it off, use a self etching primer, and then spray the black over it, rustoleum should have self etching primer, their black paint is pretty good stuff from what I have heard, and does not require a top coat.
