Help me, need some insight
The push button 4x4 when the button is engaged, the light never stops blinking. Though I hear it lock in, I have no 4 wheel drive when I put it in drive. In reverse, it's locked in and all 4 tires turn. All the while, the push button light never goes solid. I got it in a ditch to test it, so I know the 4x4 works in reverse, just not in drive. What do you think is the issue?

No takers?
I take it that this is a tricky one huh?

3-button (NV233) or 4-button (NV236)?
Have you checked any of the DIY threads in the Tech Article (DIY) section (link to the index is in my sig below)? Specifically the '4x4 no worky' thread?

4 button.
I appreciate the help swartlkk. I checked out that thread. From the info I read, I would be willing to bet it's the encoder motor. I just went and checked on some encoder motors, but I figured you may have a suggestion on a particular brand to buy. I noticed there were a few different variations of them.

There is a lot more going on in the NV236 transfer case so you may want to get it scanned by someone with a scan tool capable of accessing the TCCM.
